And the company has invested some £750,000 in 14 news Iveco Stralis tractor units which will be split between general haulage operations in the UK and the company’s dedicated trunking services to Italy.
Eurovision managing director Dominic Yeardley said: “Launching Eurovision Logistics and investing in our fleet is a statement that we are confident about the future. We have been through a tough recession but things are picking up and we want to be best placed to support our customers and take advantage of the upturn.”
Comprising ten 6×2 and four 4×2 tractors, the fleet will be split between general haulage operations in the UK and the company’s dedicated trunking services to Italy – which sees 20 trailer movements between the two countries each week, with drops in Vicenza and Rome.
Yeardley said: “This order represents investment of over £750,000 in new vehicles and bears testament to the performance of the Stralis and to the aftersales support we’ve received from NETV.”
The new vehicles join a fleet totalling 80 trucks and 60 trailers and are expected to remain on the fleet for at least four years, each clocking-up between 140,000 and 160,000 km a year.
