Shipping line OOCL is pushing up its rates from Asia to Northern Europe by $250 per TEU from 15th July.
It said: “As market conditions have improved through much of this year, basic operating costs have also risen due to the growing demand on our services in recent months.
“Therefore, OOCL will introduce a new round of rate increases to ensure the quality service to all of our customers can be maintained at a high level.”
The new rate covers traffic from Asia to North Europe (Westbound), but excluding Japan.
