Fragrance company Coty has signed a long-term contract with SmartWay Logistics to provide European transport management services.
SmartWay Logistics will manage full truckload intercompany movements from production facilities to distribution centres and direct customer deliveries.
It will also provide carrier management support, carrier self billing services and key performance indicator reporting.
Coty hopes to gain increased operational efficiency and visibility from the move, as well as process standardisation and improved business intelligence data from its supply chain.
Jacques Heintz, regional European vice president of distribution and transportation for Coty, said: “This outsourcing initiative is strategic for us in that it supports our goals for improved efficiency while working with a partner to develop sustainable and innovative transport solutions.”
Coty’s product portfolio includes Calvin Klein, Davidoff and David and Victoria Beckham’s fragrances.
