Building Adhesives, which specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of ceramic tile adhesives, grouts, silicone sealants and ancillary products, has signed a three-year multi-million pound deal with Norbert Dentressangle.
Andy Neville, head of supply chain at Building Adhesives, said: “We were looking for a distribution partner that had the shared-user infrastructure to handle volume deliveries, would be proactive in reducing costs and provide accurate, auditable management information.”
Norbert Dentressangle will collect products from Building Adhesives manufacturing centre and make more than 10,000 next-day deliveries per year using a range of regional partners and managed capacity to distributors, wholesalers and retailers across the UK.
The 3PL will have an automatic interface of the company’s booking diary input into its SHARP system, allowing it to provide better operational visibility and control.
As an added value service, Norbert Dentressangle will work with Building Adhesives to forecast its operational needs using its data capture technology to identify trends.
The Stoke-on-Trent company is part of the German Ardex Group and produces products under the BAL and Dunlop brand names.
