The two major US-based organisations, the Supply Chain Council and the Institute for Supply Management, have reached an agreement to offer member access and discounts to each other’s training and certification programmes for supply management.
The Supply Chain Council maintains the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model. Executive director Joseph Francis said: “This alliance is a great opportunity for both ISM and SCC members. Supply chain professionals around the world can enhance their knowledge and earn professional certifications from both organisation, increasing their industry recognition and career opportunities.”
The Institute for Supply Management has some 40,000 members in 75 countries and is a member of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management.
