NATO’s maintenance and supply agency has launched a network exchange hub that allows NATO and coalition forces to share information on supply shipments more efficiently.
The routeing hub is based at the maintenance and supply agency’s headquarters in Luxembourg, and transmits data from technology company Savi’s RFID-based logistics network.
The hub will track and manage consignments through military supply chains using RFID and will allow easier cross-national collaboration.
Nations connected to the hub in Luxembourg can directly transmit logistics data to other users, providing enhanced levels of real-time asset visibility.
The hub uses the existing NATO mailbox server system, a similar routeing service for logistics processes, and has established seamless interoperability among NATO and Partnership for Peace partners.
