Asset rental business, Dawsonrentals has ordered a further 100 MAN TGM rigid chassis for its expanding fleet of refrigerated and ambient trucks.
It already purchased 250 MAN tractor units, and 50 rigids over the past year.
Managing Director, Steve Miller, said: “Rental is a competitive business and it’s all about having the right mix of products to be able to respond to customers needs.
“We do see vehicle manufacturers getting into rental activities in their own right, including MAN themselves, but while that makes us a little uncomfortable… We have some 9,000 trucks and trailers in our road transport portfolio, and that gives us unparalleled flexibility.”
Dawsonrentals manages its own repair and maintenance activities across its road transport assets, but also places work routinely with manufacturer service networks.
Dawsonrentals continues to acquire all its trucks outright and to manage its own used vehicle sales. “Selling used MANs has never been a problem.”
