Keswick Enterprises, has joined with a Polish firm with Vector Global Logistics to develop third-party supply chain management services in Poland as Keswick Vector SCM Polska.
It will focus on warehousing and transport related supply chain management activities in Poland, building on Vector’s local expertise and Keswick Enterprises’ international logistics experience, particularly in the clothing & textiles, automotive, food & grocery, other FMCG and retail sectors.
John Harvey CBE, chairman of Keswick Enterprises, said: “With our third-party logistics operations developing strongly in Romania and extending across South East Europe, we are now turning our attention to Poland.
The new venture is 52 per cent owned by Keswick and 48 per cent by the Polish company. It is currently operating from a 64,600 sq ft warehouse facility in Gdansk.
Vector Global Logistics was established in 2000 as a dedicated liner agency for Mitsui OSK Lines and developed into international freight forwarding. Today, its principal activities include sea and air freight.
Keswick Enterprises was created in 2004 to invest in supply chain related businesses where it can add experience and expertise.
