Daikin has signed a three year UK warehousing and distribution contract extension with Norbert Dentressangle.
Ostend-based Daikin manufactures industrial air conditioning and heating products has been using Dentressangle since 2005. To accommodate growth in Daikin’s business, under the new contract, Dentressangle will relocate the operation into 80,000 sq ft of space in its new shared-user facility in Aylesford, Kent. The company is also further upgrading its warehouse management system to minimise e-mail and telephone communication.
The operator receives containerised product from Daikin’s factories in Belgium, Czech Republic and the Far East and is responsible for the unloading and palletisation, storage, picking and distribution of products to customers throughout the UK and Ireland, mainly on a day one for day two basis. The company is also responsible for the line-haulage operation from the Port of Felixstowe.

Dentressangle is also responsible for managing the delivery of aftermarket parts to both engineers and customers, primarily via parcel carrier. Further value-added activities include the inspection and assessment of returns and the refurbishment of products.
