Daikin has signed a three year UK warehousing and distribution contract extension with Norbert Dentressangle.
Ostend-based Daikin manufactures industrial air conditioning and heating products has been using Dentressangle since 2005. To accommodate growth in Daikin’s business, under the new contract, Dentressangle will relocate the operation into 80,000 sq ft of space in its new shared-user facility in Aylesford, Kent. The company is also further upgrading its warehouse management system to minimise e-mail and telephone communication.

Dentressangle is also responsible for managing the delivery of aftermarket parts to both engineers and customers, primarily via parcel carrier. Further value-added activities include the inspection and assessment of returns and the refurbishment of products.
Alison Jones, Supply Chain Manager for Daikin UK said: “By working with Norbert Dentressangle at the new location in Aylesford, we have the opportunity to achieve a better logistical flow in our warehouse operations that provides us with all the resources we need to ensure maximum performance at the distribution stage.”
