BMW has awarded Logwin a contract to operate its spare parts warehouse in Maintal, near Frankfurt.
It serves116 BMW dealers and repair shops in the region several times each day.
The new racking at the facility includes some 25,000 spaces in the small parts warehouse and 2,000 storage positions for larger items. There are almost 20,000 various articles stored in the 5,500 square meters of space.
Logwin’s employees prepare six shipments every day, and use the IT programs from BMW to manage inventory and orders. Logwin has been providing various services to BMW since the 1980s. And this is the third facility Logwin is operating for BMW, with others in those in Hamburg and Cologne.
Logwin was awarded the contract at the end of July, and became operational in November 2011.
