Food firm Cottage Delight has taken on APC overnight to provide nationwide next day deliveries.
The firm now uses APC’s “Handled with Care” service to ensure that its products such as jam, marmalade and chutney, are delivered to customers on time and intact. APC has provided its NetDespatch system which allows it to take online orders from retailers and consumers, print labels and track orders.
Mark Redfern, operations manager, said: “We moved our courier business to APC Overnight to eliminate the handling problems we were experiencing with other carriers. The nature of Cottage Delight artisan-made foods requires that we use glass jars and bottles to package our products, and clearly, our customers expect their orders to be delivered safely and on time.”
