Equipment rental firm Speedy Services has taken on Codegate to develop an RFID enabled self service hire portal, the Speedy ePod.
It is an unmanned, on-site, self service portal which allows customers to pay for the time equipment is in use, out of the pod.
Glyn Matthews, Speedy’s senior IT project manager, said: “We discussed the need to design a solution that would allow Speedy to leave equipment on site that could be accurately tracked in and out of a secure environment.”
