Tetley switches to LPR

Tea supplier Tetley has changed to LPR’s pallets for up to 200,000 movements per year.

LPR is contracted to deliver pallets into Tetley’s factory in Stockton-On-Tees and undertake the collection from retailer distribution centres across the UK.

Tetley has selected an outsourced service known as the one-way trip, which includes all pallet collections, repair and recirculation undertaken by LPR.

Terry Naylor, logistics manager at Tata Global Beverages, which owns Tetley, said: “Pallet quality is vitally important; retailers are exceptionally stringent about what they will accept and the increase in automated warehousing makes this even more critical.”
