Hellmann Worldwide Logistics will create more than 100 new jobs with a nearly 9 million euro development plan, including a new freight-forwarding facility in Bielefeld, Germany next year.
The new facility will be developed on the site of its old facility.
The investment in modernising its operations is expected to improve working conditions and opportunities for employees. It also plans a more refined handling centre, utilising the new technology to boost service.
Hellmann will set up a transitional facility to ensure continuity during the development.
Branch Manager in Bielefeld, Frank Niedringhaus said: “Suitable, open spaces are very limited in Bielefeld which is why the decision has been made to demolish the existing facility and build the modernised freight-forwarding facility in the same location.”
