New supply chain chief for Office Depot

Office Depot has promoted Mike McCreesh to procurement and supply chain director for the UK and Ireland.

McCreesh began his career with Office Depot as a warehouse operative in 1998, and spent four years in transport management and a further five years in distribution management.

In his most recent role as head of distribution for the UK and Ireland, he was responsible for supply chain development, property, maintenance and engineering.

He said: “The supply chain team comprises almost 50 per cent of Office Depot UK and Ireland’s total employee base, and I am very proud to be leading them all. They and as a consequence, our supply chain capabilities are what sets us apart within our industry and what enables us to work in true partnership with our customers.”

John Moore, regional vice president for the UK and Ireland, said: “During his time at the helm of distribution, Mike has delivered significant financial value to the business, and has been instrumental in creating world class distribution centres that lead the way in productivity across the globe.”
