Perkins Engines, part of Caterpillar, has taken The Peterborough Property Company’s Orton 130 warehouse on Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate in Peterborough.
The engine supplier has agreed a five-year lease at an annual rent of £392,664. Orton 130 totals 130,888 sq ft comprising a single-storey warehouse and two-storey offices in a secure self-contained yard, with 150 parking spaces. Orton Southgate is located south-west of Peterborough city centre, adjacent to the A1 motorway.
Perkins Engines Company was represented by Lambert Smith Hampton while The Peterborough Property Company was advised by Savills and DTZ.
Paul Farrow of Savills said: “Orton 130 provides ideal manufacturing space for Perkins Engines, a company that already has its head office in Peterborough. The strong transport links that Orton Southgate boasts allows easy accessibility for distribution purposes.”
