Greencore Grocery has renewed its ambient finished food products storage and distribution contract with Potter Group Logistics for a further two years. The contract is worth some £3.2 million.
Jeremy Cotton, supply chain director of Greencore Grocery said: “Potter Group Logistics has stored raw materials on our behalf for some years. Recently, they started handling the storage and delivery of finished goods to our customers. I am pleased to say that they give a good, reliable service and I look forward to developing our relationship with them further as we expand into the future.”
Greencore has 22 convenience foods manufacturing sites in the UK and US producing chilled, frozen and ambient foods for retail, manufacturing and foodservice customers.

It has retained Potter as its third party logistics partner for 12 years, storing ingredients and packaging at Potter’s Selby distribution centre.
The new contract includes timed deliveries of finished products to some of the UK’s major food retailers and wholesalers. In addition, shunting operations for both ingredients and finished goods are handled between Greencore’s factory and Potter’s DC.
