Developer Prologis has secured outline planning permission for a 456,110 sq ft warehouse facility in Buntingford, Hertfordshire from East Herts Council.
The proposals for the former Sainsbury’s distribution depot in London Road were approved by the council last night January 9th 2013.
The scheme includes the demolition of existing buildings and the erection of new ones.
The scheme, which could employ up to 600 people, is now slightly smaller than originally proposed in 2012 and no longer includes a multi-storey car park.
The site’s offices have been relocated to create distance between the building and its neighbours.
