DHL Global Forwarding has launched DHL Flexitank, for the shipment of bulk non-hazardous liquids, which it reckons is cheaper and greener than ISO tank containers, IBC totes or drums.
The Flexitank holds up to 24,000 litres and is a multi-layer bladder designed to fit into a standard 20-foot ocean container.
Being flexible it can expand to use all the space within a shipping container. DHL reckons this can equate to 31 per cent more cargo compared with totes and drums. It is also recyclable.
