The calculator is designed to provide operators of forklift trucks with a guide that allows them to see the savings they could make, by having the information on a number of manufacturers’ products at their fingertips.
The testing carried out in order to create the calculator took place at the company’s Craigavon and Portland, Oregon plants and was completed on Yale’s GDP25 VX model along with a number of other leading manufacturers’ products.
Yale brand manager EMEA, Steve Ridgway, said: “Operators have to enter a small amount of information on their application and fleet size, including the number of hours their fork lift trucks operate and the length and number of shifts. The Yale calculator then uses this information to compare the cost of any one of six other manufacturer’s products against the Yale model using the information they have published in their technical data sheets.”
