Leica Biosystems, which makes medial diagnostics systems, has chosen arvato UK & Ireland to handle its UK logistics.
Under the agreement, arvato will warehouse and distribute Leica Biosystems’ medical diagnostic instruments and related consumables, to hospitals and laboratories across the UK & Ireland. arvato is set to handle over 20,000 lines across 10,000 orders annually.
The supply services, previously operated in-house by Leica Biosystems, will be managed from arvato’s distribution hub in Hams Hall, Birmingham.
Leica Biosystems’ diagnostic product range of sample preparation, staining, imaging and reporting in the anatomical pathology field will require arvato to employ specialist handling methods for the management of this partnership.
