Mike Burke has been promoted to managing director at Hampshire-based E&K Automation, the UK subsidiary of the German automated guided vehicle (AGV) maker.
Having previously held the position of projects manager at the company, Burke, who is also a committee member of the Automated Material Handling Systems Association, holds knowledge of AGV system design and implementation dating back to 1986.
Stewart Bourn will be taking his place, with the job title of project/health & safety manager, where he will take responsibility for the turnkey supply and installation of AGV systems at customers’ premises.
Kirsty Pennicott is also joining the team as office administrator, where she will join senior administrator Pam Critchley, hoping to strengthen the E&K’s customer support services.
