Crawley-based courier Eezehaul has helped local schoolchildren learn the importance of the supply chain industry, by arranging for a visit from the Truckitts.
Students at the Pound Hill Infant and Junior School, were treated to the visit, to mark Road Safety Awareness Day and to help them learn about the “dos and don’ts” of the road in a fun way.
Truckitts are real lorries that have been given their own unique identities.
Crawley-based Eezehaul, which is part of the APC Overnight network, is taking part in the Truckitts school initiative to help make youngsters more aware of how transport companies operate and learn about road safety.
Mark Duggan, managing director for Eezehaul, said that it was important for children to get involved. He said: “The theme of Truckitts is transport and distribution and aims to help children understand all about trucks. They inform children that without trucks, our lives would be very different.
