Trilogy Logistics has won a new distribution contract with video game publisher Square Enix.
Trilogy will deliver Square Enix’s products around the UK including its two new titles Kingdon Hearts II and Final Fantasy XII, which in its first week has sold two million copies in Japan.
Four million games per year are manufactured in Austria and are shipped by road to the UK via Dover.
Michael Sherlock, senior vice president, sales and marketing of Square Enix, said: “The team at Trilogy is extremely focused and it’s testament to their character that they’ve secured this contract. This agreement is all part of Square Enix’s initiative to achieve more effective and efficient channel management by distributing our own products.”
Trilogy will also handle the warehousing and returns needs.
