Norbert Dentressangle saw its operating profit rise 34 per cent to 69.2m euros in 2006 while sales were up 15 per cent to 1.6 billion euros.
The group made two acquisitions: the Romanian transport company, Transcondor, and the Spanish logistics company, CCH. It said organic growth was strong in central and eastern Europe, as was demand from clients for international transport and logistics.
Logistics activities increased by 19.5 per cent to reachb sales of 600 million euros.
Operating income, which was up on 2005, reached 5.5 per cent of revenue and included a provision for the integration of activities from TNT Logistics France.
