The Port of Tyne has welcomed the inaugural visit of the Maddelena D’Amato, the first Panamax vessel to visit the port. The 225m long ship arrived at Riverside Quay with a cargo of coal destined for Drax Power. The port has spent £18m to extend its Riverside Quay by 60m to 574m.
