Wincanton, has won a new contract with M&S outside its core equipment distribution contract.
Wincanton is partnering M&S during phase three of its store remodel programme in which it is revamping about 35 per cent of its stores across the UK during 2007. Wincanton is delivering the new-style interior store equipment from the manufacturers to the shop fitters.
Wincanton has worked with M&S for four years, delivering equipment from its Fradley distribution centre near Litchfield. This new contract element builds on this, and sees the distribution and management of M&S remodel programme equipment and associated support handled by Wincanton for the first time.
Simon Doyle, Marks & Spencer logistics manager, said: “2007 is an important phase in our redevelopment strategy. Wincanton understands our business and is an integral part of delivering our new stores in 2007.”
