Fashion design house Paul Smith has chosen Geodis UK for European distribution of its luxury clothing, following an 10 month trial period. The renewed agreement will see Geodis providing a comprehensive end-to-end service for all Paul Smith products delivered into continental retail outlets and the designer’s own boutiques, via Geodis’ Eurofirst distribution product.
Goods will be collected form Smith’s Nottingham based dispatch warehouse and conveyed to Geodis’ European hubs, to feed into domestic distribution networks for final delivery across France, Germany and other markets.
Pat Wass, logistics manager for Paul Smith, said: “We have worked closely with Geodis for some time. Their continued investment in security and systems, including full web-tracking and reporting, makes the Eurofirst product one that suits our needs perfectly. Through the company’s secure web portal, we always know where our goods are and when they will be delivered and can obtain proof of delivery online. The service provides everything that we, as a shipper of high value goods, require and the Geodis customer service team has developed a successful working partnership with our own logistics personnel.”
