TDG joins forces with Kender Thijssen

Repair vendor for ICT systems and components, Kender Thijssen European Repair and TDG have collaborated to offer ICT customers reverse logistics and repair services.

The deal is also designed to improve the speed and efficiency of maintenance of Kender Thijssen customers’ business-critical systems.

TDG will provide the physical infrastructure, logistics employees and distribution in Europe as well as airfreight to the other continents, while Kender Thijssen will provide repairs to computer equipment and other electronic equipment.

Walter Kusters, manager business development at TDG, said: “We will not only screen, test and repair the goods, but also ensure they are returned to the customer. Outsourcing the full process of worldwide receipt of defective products will have a cost down effect on overheads and other costs for hardware suppliers.”

Allan da Graça, business team manager at Kender Thijssen, added: “We notice that, due to further intensification on the market and globalisation, customers have a growing need to outsource their business to a partner operating on a worldwide scale. They will search for flexible businesses, capable to develop know-how on prolonging the support of products for a longer period of time than is possible with the original manufacturer.”
