Truck deliveries double for Volvo

Volvo Trucks has reported a 116 rise in its global truck deliveries in July compared to the corresponding month last year, reflecting a significant improvement in the state of the commercial vehicle market.

In Europe, demand is gradually recovering, it said, particularly in Northern and Central Europe. During the first seven months of the year, 14,462 trucks were delivered – an increase of 18 per cent. For July alone, the increase in Europe was 80 per cent.

In North America, deliveries also increased 39 per cent during the year and by a full 149 per cent in July.
