Publisher chooses Sterling supply chain software

Publishing group Random House has implemented Sterling Commerce software to integrate its expanding supply chain.

It has deployed IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and IBM Sterling B2B Collaboration Network within its book distribution division, The Book Service to improve responsiveness to requests from supply chain partners, such as demand for self-service capabilities. It also provides The Book Service with real-time business intelligence to drive smarter business decisions.
Angus Gormley, applications support manager at Random House, said: “Now that The Random House Group (UK) has gained end-to-end visibility and is able to track trading partners’ orders, customer service levels are guaranteed.
“Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling B2B Collaboration Network have become critical components of our business and support our future growth and expansion plans.”
