Hyster has added a new low level order picker to its range of energy efficient trucks.
The LO2.0-2.5 has been developed to optimise the speed and ease of picking from both sides of a warehouse aisle.
The truck is designed to combine energy efficiency, reliability and ergonomics to boost operator pick rates and low cost of operation.
Operators have close proximity to goods and the work platform has a reduced height to help minimise movement and save time in the picking operation.
The order picker has a scooter control and the operator can move the order picker to the next pick location without having to climb on board with the creep speed control on the side of the truck.
The trucks have a 2.6kW motor for high performance acceleration and travel speed to ensure maximum productivity over a full shift of picking.
The trucks include regenerative braking, anti-roll back on slopes and are designed to be energy efficient.
The range includes models for ground level picking or frequent second level picking requirements.
The LO2.0-2.5 with a scissor lift function will be available from January 2012, and also includes a raising operator platform or independent forklift for second level picking.
