Scania boosts graduate recruitment

Scania is increasing its co-operation with the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology to strengthen its future supply of employees with advanced skills.

As part of the co-operation agreement Scania will create jobs for students and doctoral candidates, and will contribute additional teachers.

Scania reckons it needs to recruit between 300 and 600 staff annually that have a BSc or MSc degree in engineering.

Scania’s president and chief executive, Leif Östling, said: “Highly qualified engineering and graduate education are the basis for maintaining and developing research and the automotive industry in Sweden.”
