DHL welcomes drivers’ vote against strike

DHL Supply Chain has welcomed the decision of its tanker drivers to vote against a strike.

Unite members at five fuel distribution companies voted to take industrial action, but at DHL and Suckling, drivers voted against the strike.

A spokesperson for DHL Supply Chain said: “We are delighted that our tanker drivers have voted against taking strike action, which would have caused massive disruption to our customers and the general public.

“Moving to sector-wide collective bargaining can only increase instability in the current market and jeopardise those employers, including DHL, whose drivers already enjoy industry-leading working practices and Health & Safety measures.”
