Automation specialist Vanderlande saw its order intake increase 40 per cent last year with growth coming in all segments – particularly baggage handling.
Turnover at 565m euros was similar to the previous year and net earnings were 2.9 per cent of sales.
CEO Michiel Peters said: “With the 40 per cent increase in order intake, Vanderlande Industries has strengthened its position in a recovering market, and is on track to realise its strategic agenda. The lower net earnings are mainly due to margin pressures.”
In January, Vanderlande acquired Beewen, the AS/RS specialist. Vanderlande said the move meant it was better positioned to serve both airports and warehouse automation customers.
