Crew Clothing Co, the fashion retailer, has appointed Torque to handle its logistics involving daily deliveries into its network of 71 stores.
The deal will see over one million units passing through Torque’s facilities every year.
Richard Brodrick, head of logistics at Crew, said: “As our business has grown in recent years, so too has our need for greater space and logistics resources. We have reached a stage where we have outgrown our existing facility and Torque has provided us with a flexible, cost-effective, shared user operation.
“We were looking for a company that really understands multi-channel logistics and also able to consistently deliver the high level of customer service required by Crew.”
Torque was able to use its purchasing power to reduce Crew’s packaging costs. It also acted to minimise disruption in the lead up to the launch of the brand’s spring/summer range.
