Weight Watchers has expanded its contract with Norbert Dentressangle, to include the fulfilment of online orders.
Specialist in weight management services, Weight Watchers provides some 50,000 meetings to those who wish to better control their weight, around the world, every week.
The company recently launched an online shopping service for customers to pursue weight management at home, selling items such as cookbooks, electronic equipment, and food products, through its web site.
Norbert currently handles Weight Watchers’ UK distribution operation, providing team leaders with materials needed to host their weekly meetings.
But the extended deal will now see Norbert offer the logistics and end-to-end fulfilment of all online orders.
Norbert will also handle the pan-European transport of Weight Watchers products, from its base in Maidenhead, to its seven distribution centres in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, and the Benelux and Nordic regions.
Supply chain director at Weight Watchers, Duncan Aspden, said the move was a natural extension in the successful partnership between the two companies.
