BIFA picks Fowler

The British International Freight Association has chosen Lord Fowler to be its new president. Norman Fowler was a member of Margaret Thatcher’s cabinet from 1981 to 1990.

He is now chairman of Aggregate Industries. He succeeds the Earl of Caithness, who had been President of BIFA for the last three years.

Philip Stephenson, joint managing director of Davies Turner, is the new BIFA national chairman. He moves from his current role of vice chairman and succeeds Doug Overett.
