SSI Schaefer has developed extruded containers that allow users to protect goods against corrosion during transport, shipment and storage under extreme conditions.
The containers use Intercept technology which is designed protect virtually any material from all climatic conditions and environmental influences. The system uses porous copper particles embedded into a polymer matrix which react with corrosive gases in the atmosphere neutralising them.
Unlike traditional processes no artificial atmosphere is generated, penetrating humidity is freed of corrosive elements, reducing the load in the atmosphere and ensuring better protection for employees, even with direct contact.
The containers are available in three different versions: containers with corrosion protection; conductive ESD containers, and containers with ESD and corrosion protection.
