DHL Freight has opened a logistics centre at Pratteln in Switzerland.
The 516 667 sq ft facility serves as headquarters of DHL Freight Switzerland as well as being the gateway hub for DHL’s European less-than-truckload Euroconnect service.
The site provides some 131,000 sq ft for loading and reloading, including 62 docking positions for trucks, a warehouse area of 86,000 square ft, a storage facility for dangerous goods and an open customs warehouse.
Pratteln is close to the border triangle of Switzerland, France and Germany.
