Developer UK Land & Estates has won approval for a 250,000 sq ft speculative industrial scheme to be known as Dukesway Central on the Team Valley.
The £7.5 million development of industrial/warehousing space will be on the site of the former Scholle and Saia Burgess factories, which were demolished in 2010 saving UK Land over £100,000 in empty property rates.
The announcement comes not long after UK Land secured funding from property fund Highcross.
Discussions are advanced for pre-lets on the scheme which will be built in the Spring.
