DB Schenker Logistics has opened a new UK headquarters at Heathrow, which will also become the company’s main airfreight hub for the UK.
The 9,900 sq m building has been developed on The Portal Site at Heathrow situated adjacent to the main cargo terminal.
“The facility is perfectly located for access to all areas of the airport and our 15 year lease, shows real commitment to London Heathrow”, said Helgi Ingolfsson, CEO of Schenker.
“What we wanted was to make DB Schenker, Heathrow a very modern facility that is ‘The place to work’ at London Heathrow, a great environment for our people to work in and an Eco-friendly facility to handle our airfreight customers cargo in, both now and in the future, I think we have achieved that.”

Andy Gulliford, SEGRO’s chief operating officer said: “We are delighted to have completed DB Schenker’s new facility at Heathrow. The new and highly sustainable 9,900 sq m facility will now become the main airfreight hub for DB Schenker in the UK. It’s great for SEGRO and Heathrow to welcome a major new customer and we are very proud to be associated with such a significant development.”
