The Royal Mail has snapped up two warehouses facilities in London. It has taken a short term lease for the Christmas rush at Schroder’s 200,000 sq ft Tetris 40 warehouse as well as taking three units at Bush Industrial Estate, Tufnell Park in North London.
Royal Mail Group has agreed to lease units 11 to 13, totalling 20,000 square feet, on a 15 year lease following the surrender agreed with the former tenant.
Steve Molloy, Royal Mail’s Delivery Director for North London, said: “The planned relocation of four of our delivery offices to the Bush Industrial Estate is part of Royal Mail’s ongoing modernisation programme and is vital to put our business on a sound, secure and sustainable footing for the future.”
