Jens Poggensee has replaced Terry Sambrook as UPS’s vice president of freight forwarding Europe, after Sambrook’s recent retirement.
Poggensee will now take responsibility for the strategy, performance and revenue growth of the company’s freight forwarding services in more than 120 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Having worked in the transport industry since 1981, he joined UPS in 2004 through the acquisition of Menlo Worldwide Forwarding.
He will now be based at the company’s Europe region headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and report to president of UPS Europe, Cindy Miller.
