Carson McMullan has been appointed as the British International Freight Association’s new national chairman, succeeding Steve Parker.
McMullan has held the role of managing director at All-Route Shipping, now part of the Woodside Group, since 1996 and has been vice chairman at BIFA for the past two years.
His appointment sees Fred Osborn, co-owner of X-Pand International Freight, become vice chairman of the association.
John Stubbings, group director and company secretary of the Woodland Group, has also been appointed a role on the Board. He will now chair BIFA’s Legal and Insurance Policy Group.
“In welcoming Carson, Fred and John into their new roles, I would also like to express my appreciation for the contribution made by Steve Parker during his two-year tenure, said Peter Quantrill, BIFA director general.
Sir Peter Bottomley, MP, has also extended his term as BIFA president.
