Planned London low emission zone

The FTA has described Transport for London’s initial ideas for a London-wide Low Emission Zone (LEZ) as a “hammer to crack a nut”. The LEZ proposals will require that by 2008 all vehicles entering London are Euro III compliant (or Euro II plus reduced Pollution certificate), and by 2010 are Euro IV (Euro III + RPC and NOx reduction).
