SEV has won a £400,000 contract with the Stiller Group for equipment to operate the recently extended, 340,000sq ft warehouse and distribution facility in Darton, South Yorkshire. Stiller bought 17 new forklift trucks and other equipment, which included new BT Rolatruc RRE3 reach trucks and P24 pallet trucks, from SEV in Sheffield.
Jimmy Quinn, SEV’s Materials Handling equipment sales manager, said: “The brief was equipment that could match the site’s 24/7 working schedule. We therefore advised the supply of the P24 trucks with double battery operation – operators simply change over the trucks’ batteries with freshly charged ones, enabling the trucks to work continuously.
