Pat Lally, formerly operations development director for Allied Bakeries, has joined TDG Contract Logistics as operations director. He has had 25 years experience in the food distribution industry. He said: “Having previously been in a position of buying in third party logistics, I can certainly understand our customers’ perspective.”
Lally will focus on is extending the supply chain to improve a customer’s competitive edge. Lally is a fellow of the CILT and holds a degree in economics. Brought up in Scotland, he now lives in Buckinghamshire, where he is chairman of the local football club.
Phil Dinning has been appointed managing director of Easilift Loading Systems, following Edward Kelly’s decision to step down from day-to-day control of the company, after almost 30 years. Dinning has been with the company for around 20 years. He joined as a project engineer and was later promoted to technical manager before becoming operations director four years ago. Dinning serves on the executive board of the Association of Loading and Elevating Equipment Manufacturers.
Day-to-day running of the company is now in the hands of a management team comprising Phil Dinning; Rob Fay; Graham Hepworth, Cheryl Thornton, and David Whyatt.
Alex Boellaard has joined Intellident as mainland European manager, with over fourteen years of RFID experience.
With an initial focus on Benelux, Germany and Scandinavia, Boellaard will develop a team of professionals capable of delivering local solutions, while taking advantage of our award-winning engineering and software services based in the UK. Jim Hopwood, managing director of Intellident said: “The appointment of Alex will further strengthen our team and provide us with the ability to grow at a substantial rate into mainland Europe.”
Steve Kent has been appointed field operations manager at Impact Toyota’s Hull and Immingham branches. He will report directly to managing director Terry Kendrew and will oversee the daily operational activities as well as lead the engineering team.
