Christian Salvesen is working with Manchester Airport to reduce vehicle movements and speed up security screening of stock for the passenger terminal.
A 5,000 sq ft trial site will be operated from an existing Salvesen logistics centre while permanent solutions are being investigated.
The security screening process will involve x-raying about 1,000 pallets per week.
Salvesen has also set up a dedicated solutions team for aviation logistics to build its presence at UK airports.
