Wincanton, has won the distribution contract for bulk loads of aviation products and diesel fuels to various RAF stations, warships and Ministry of Defence properties in the UK.
The three-year contract is run from Wincanton’s Widnes site. Wincanton is distributing three products for the MoD: AVTUR, fuel for jet engines, AVCAT, fuel for ship borne aircraft and DIESO, fuel for ships’ engines.
“The integrity of the product is of the highest importance with strict loading, discharge, sealing, security and sampling procedures, requiring skilled and experienced drivers,” explains a Ministry of Defence spokesman.
“Wincanton has significant expertise in the petroleum and energy sector across Europe and has the infrastructure and operational knowledge to meet the requirements of this varied contract.”
